Krabi is a paradise in the south of Thailand, situated on a peninsula that faces Phuket across the sea. The surrounding water is dotted with more than 30 offshore islands that look like pearls. From the smooth beach to the warm, clear water, the palm trees swaying in the breeze, the flowing waterfalls, and the wild animals hidden amid the woods, the province is full of natural poetry.
Krabi is made up of numerous islands that are known for their colourful flora and fauna. With its stunning, pure water and numerous marine animals, it is a world-famous rock climbing destination that is also ideal for diving.

Krabi the main town in the province of Krabi (thesaban mueang) on the west coast of southern Thailand at the mouth of the Krabi River where it empties in Phang Nga Bay. As of 2010 the town had a population of 52,867. The town is the capital of Krabi Province and Krabi District. Tourism is an important industry. Krabi is 783 km south of Bangkok by road.
